Dear Parents,
I am delighted to confirm that following Nadia’s departure in December 2024, the new Head of Heathside School will be Sara Williams-Ryan, current Head of Falcons School in Putney. Sara will take up the role in January 2025
Sara is an excellent fit for Heathside. As a Head with six years’ experience, she brings strong leadership qualities and a thorough understanding of the demands of the role. There are many similarities between her current school and Heathside – both are co-ed schools with a strong family focus, nurturing ethos, and a clear focus on academic excellence, sports, and performing and creative arts.
Sara is originally from Spain but completed her schooling and first degree in Switzerland. After university, she moved to the UK and began teaching in the state sector before moving to the independent sector at Ibstock Place School as Head of Modern Foreign Languages. Sara completed her PGCE and MA in Education prior to moving to Emanuel School where she took responsibility for pastoral care as well as languages. Sara has experience as a school Governor in the state and independent sectors. She is married and has adult twin daughters.
Sara’s experience and vibrant, enthusiastic personality are the perfect fit for Heathside. She will lead the school with energy, determination, and a clear focus on Heathside’s unique ethos and culture.
With very best wishes,
Aatif Hassan
Chair of Governors
